      The Planning Community of Practice hosts bi-weekly lessons learned and information-sharing webinars for Planners across the Corps and the teams they work with. Webinar slides and summaries of the Q/A sessions are posted online.

  • National PCoP Workshops and Trainings
      Each year, the Planning Community of Practice organizes trainings and workshops to help ensure planners across USACE have the ability to accomplish the agency's mission, which is dependent upon strong, effective relationships and the free exchange of technical information and collaborative thought. These events differ in size and scope, ranging from national PCoP workshops to regional trainings to sub-CoP meetings.   • Planning Associates Program
      The Planning Associates Program is an advanced training opportunity in water resources planning offered by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to broaden planners' competencies in solving complex water resources problems and challenges, and to strengthen their leadership talents. The Program curriculum is rich in team building, leadership training, experiential training in the Corps' Civil Works business functions, case studies, individual and group projects, instructional training and experiences, and many networking opportunities with leaders from the public and private sectors.
  • Annual PAS & FPMS Workshops
      The Annual Planning Assistance to States and Flood Plain Management Services Workshops are designed to enhance District understanding and implementation of USACE technical assistance programs, focusing on Floodplain Management Services (FPMS) and Planning Assistance to States (PAS), by ensuring common understanding of the foundational policies and purposes of the FPMS and PAS programs; exploring outreach strategies to reach and engage key audiences and increase internal and external collaboration; increasing awareness of enterprise strategies for executing PAS and FPMS funding from regular and supplemental appropriations; and identifying areas where Headquarters, national PAS and FPMS program managers, and MSC and District leadership may further support program execution.
  • Planning Core Curriculum and Other PROSPECT Training
      The Planning Core Curriculum and other planning- related courses are offered by the USACE Learning Center to provide job-related training through technical and professional courses.
  • Water Resources Training and Education
      The Institute for Water Resources has assembled is a guide to university programs, certification programs, and short courses in water resources planning and management around the United States, as well as select international programs.
